Farewell to Season Weekend May 25th-28th!

The Move is Cancelled!

Good News:  Due to some last minute talks, I will no longer be moving today.  Although a move is planned in the future (To meet the future needs of returning to school and the current need to be closer to work), there is no need to move today.  (I am prepping to go to work after this – not sure if that’s a good trade or not.  )

Thanks for the help and support I have recieved this week.

Some good news, some bad news….

Argh!

Double-Whammy!

So, as of last week, my cable modem, which my sister helped me with, fried itself out.  (God, I love the smell of smoke in the morning.)  I hope to be on on Friday, though a realistic assessment is that, due to cable bills and buying a new modem with the OT I have been working, I’m expecting Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.  (I’m hoping they don’t hard-disconnect me – that would suck!)

Anyways, if I’m online, most likely I’m either at the library, have a laptop working at a hotspot (not likely), or (if I’m on AIM) using my cell phone.   Sorry, but I’ll be back soon.

I’ve been feeling royally depressed and blue this week. I am finally on first shift, yet wish I was somewhere else; I found out that a major change in my life may be on the way; and thanks to my own stupidity, one of my friends is going to miss this.

If you happened to miss the bulletin posting earlier today, went DownTown to meet me only to find I wasn’t there, I owe an apology: I cancelled tonight’s event. From the way I feel now, I’m glad I did.

Some Reasons I think I am failing in Relationships

Last week I mentioned the fact in “Catch-22″ that I can’t date someone I am uncomfortable with, yet I can’t ask a friend out on a date because I have lost too many friends that way. I’ve been trying to think of other reasons why I am failing, when I do have the chance to be with someone, to have a GirlFriend. My thoughts?

Catch-22

This is a thought I had earlier this week, a piece into the reasoning why I have a difficult time dating. It came about as I was debating about asking a couple of women out to do something. One is a theatre manager who was one I spoke with about bringing a video camera to the theaters to shoot footage that as ultimately scrapped from the video I sent to audition for the Biggest Loser. (The scrapping was mainly due to not being able to edit the footage – my iMac would not recognize the camera.) The other is on my friends list, and because of that, any info I disclose is too risky to revealing that person – something I wouldn’t do, even if I had the permission of the person to do so.

Not-So-Random Thoughts for February 12th, 2007

Hi, my name is Wayne Winquist, and not only do I believe in God, I can prove that God exists: Look him up in the dictionary.

If “God” never existed, would the word for “God” exist? Would many of us still go looking for the best path we can take to God? You don’t have to be religious to know that “God” would not exist if people never searched for a higher being, an explanation to all of the universe, chaos and all, or looked for reason for and to live. In other words, there’d be no God if we never gave God definition and meaning.

Just a rant for atheists who refuse to believe that God – whatever he, she, it is – exists. And now, onto the rest of this posting.

Not-So-Random Thoughts for February 3rd, 2007

So here it is, an hour before what will probably be the greatest Super Bowl so far in my life (providing, of course, that the Bears win), watching the pre-game on my 32-inch Standard-Definition TV at home, by myself, no party or great plans.  I look outside, and what I can see is the sun going down, teasing me, trying to get me to come outside, saying, “It’s nice out here.”  All I need to do is look at the ice-white ground that is normally dark grey to pitch black, riddled with lots of little white flakes, from inside ice-covered, Icebox-cool windows to see that only the insane would even consider walking outside on this day.  If the Bears don’t win on a day like today, where even in Miami it’s rainy outside, with a forecast of the 70’s and rain in Miami, I think even God would be disappointed.  (Wish I was there.)
Of course, most of you won’t see this until well after the game is over, when I am buried under sheets and quilts, trying to keep my butt warm, so you won’t know how much I wish I had a car until well after its over.  If I had the money, I’d have left 20 minutes ago on the last bus to try to hang out at a bar where the game would be showing, cheering and booing alongside every other fan.  Hopefully, I’d have enough sense to have found my Black winter hat; otherwise, I’d receive a lot of ridicule from the ignorance of people who can not see that clothes are clothes, as the green packers hat, that I wear with the “G” logo turned on the inside so that it’s hopefully hidden, but the green would still be a problem.
Anyways, enough boring talk, it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve said anything on my mind, so here we go…

Not-So-Random-Thoughts for February 2nd, 2007

So, here’s an updater” I am ok. I went to the emergency Room saturday, leaving around 8:30 in the morning, because of of two of the 4 teeth I should have had pulled a long time ago. Those two teeth are infected, so I will be taking Penicillin for a week. Because of my High blood pressure being outrageous (184/120 – YIKES!), I am back on hydrochlorothyzide. Although I was also prescribed Vicadin, I passed on it – it’s not worth the B.S. hassle associated with it. (Had the doctors paid attention with my address on that prescription the way they did on recommending doctors, they might have noticed that I live near Milestone and just south of crackhead central. It’s bad enough when I have to deal with my coworkers and family and friends wanting it, but if the neighbors found out I had it, I wouldn’t have it for long – in fact, I’d have a lot more than the vicadin missing!)

The one bright side is that I have a new place to check out for oral surgery, what will be necessary to do to yank my 4 wisdom teeth because of my blood pressure. (A recap: Novocain can’t be used on High blood pressure patients, willing or not. the stuff that they can use has such a short life-span that it is impractical to use on me.) It also got me some drugs until I can see a doctor and dentist. In the mean time, the next two weeks are going to be fun. (Sarcasm.)

Now, onto everything else…

Okay, someone needs to say this – might as well be the example of the obvious opposite. To every fat person – male or female – who says, “They go for the skinnier people,” Here’s a few thoughts.

Five Give-me’s

A month or so ago I put a test up on my MySpace.com profile, to which only two friends – from high school, at that! – have taken it. While I can say that I am not surprised by their scores (neither have seen me since HS), I am surprised no one else is doing it. I guess either I’m a boring person, the test/format sucks, or the site that hosts it sucks. At any rate, no one’s playing.

Since I threw in a few trick questions, I might as well answer a few for you.
